According to a new study released from the Ohio State University, first graders are reading with much better reading skills than they were a decade ago. At Eye Level, we are incredibly happy to hear that, as our Eye Level Early Readers program strives to help our young students reach their true potential.

“”Children are better prepared when they enter first grade than they used to be,” said Emily Rodgers, a professor of teaching at Ohio State University and study co-author. “Kindergarten is the new first grade when it comes to learning reading skills.””
