Eye Level is the key to self-directed learning. We nurture problem solvers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. A premier supplemental education and enrichment program, Eye Level offers an innovative and effective teaching method in a fun and exciting learning environment, where self-directed learning, individualized academic coaching, and critical thinking are at the core of helping children improve and excel in their academic pursuits. We currently offer Eye Level Math and Eye Level English in our centers.
Eye Level begins with our core concept having every child believe, “I am the key.” Through our curriculum, the student follows a step-by-step process that allows him or her to become a confident, self-directed learner. The student learns and masters each concept through an individually tailored experience – not by pure repetition or memorization, but by focusing on developing basic skills and the ability to think critically. We also strive to meet and coach the child on his or her own level. This process is aided by our low teacher-to-student ratio, which allows for a balance of independent student and one-on-one academic coaching.
One major element that sets us apart from our competitors is our Critical Thinking Math program, which covers patterns, geometry, problem solving, reasoning, and more elements that have been introduced in the new Common Core Curriculum. We are the only enrichment program that offers a critical thinking component.
Our program starts with basic motor skills, so as long as your child can hold a pencil, and sit in the classroom for at least half an hour, he/she is old enough for Eye Level! Usually, children who are three to four years old are young enough to start. If you are unsure, the best way to see if your child is old enough is through a diagnostic assessment, which we offer for free.
Our program goes all the way up to high school math and middle school english. We recommend the program for children up to grade 8.
Depending on the program, your child may come for one or two hours. If you sign up for our junior program, our math program, or our english program, the classes are one hour a week. If you sign up for math and english, you could do two hours in one day, or one hour two days. We have classes on the hour when we are open. Generally, we ask that you stick to the same class time each week, but we do allow for makeups and rescheduling classes.
